Subject: On The Ocean
Thanks for recording and posting this show. I was glad to finally hear On The Ocean performed live, one of my favorites from the new album. Overall great show. Looking forward to seeing them play at Toad's Place in New Haven this May.

Thanks Brian and YourPalJay! It was nice meeting both of you.

Brian - I was surprised at the levels because I was really running hot and thought I'd need to cut bass in post but the tape turned out really well (unexpectedly). I will try to bump it up and re-up when I get a chance; I was in a hurry to get it up and didn't spend a lot of time considering post (it's also been 18 months since I last taped so I was just trying to figure out how to use Archive again!)

Jay - I felt the same way about the CMC4s when I first picked them up but I've managed to get a few good shows with minimal noise. I didn't think my stand was high enough but it turned out to be above the fray. Sorry for being distracted when you said hi, I thought the JB3 conked and the show was lost (turns out it was fine). My apologies and I hope to catch you at a future show!

Subject: Surprisingly Good Quality
I thanked you after the show and will do it again here: Thanks for doing what you do :) Hope you enjoy it, even through the drunks and crazies and hassle this hobby can be.

I have never been a real fan of these mics... but this recording is changing my mind. Vocals are super clear and the crowd is quiet. Not something I usually hear from these mics. Will's location looked pretty good at the show - not ideal, but as good as he could get and still have some protection. Overall, a nice balanced recording, and a great "musical souvenir" of a great Guster performance!

Hey Will, it's Brian - I came up to you before the show thanking you for taping. Thanks again, sounds very decent. Could maybe use a db boost (a bit quiet) but sounds clear! :)
